Composition
Aubusson tapestry woven by the Caron workshop.
Circa 1970.
A painter unfortunately somewhat forgotten today, although he was one of the first Lebanese abstract artists, Assem Stétié (he is the brother of the more famous poet and critic Saleh Stétié, himself close to many artists) produced a personal work that was both lyrical and masterful, made up of signs of pure colors, a form of personal calligraphy, particularly in the 70s, from which we can date our tapestry.
