Originally from Limousin (and daughter of master glassmaker François Chigot), Delphine Bureau-Chigot devoted a significant part of her creative energy (she was also a painter and pastel artist) to the creation of tapestry cartoons (more than a hundred) woven mainly by the Picaud workshop, often of dreamlike inspiration, where animals (birds in particular) can play an important part.
