Elie Grekoff, close to the aesthetic of Lurçat, will produce more than 300 cartoons. The theme of leafy suns is a classic of the artist; perhaps the title alludes to a workshop of the Atelier de Tapisserie d’Angers, opened that same year 1968, and where Grekoff was the first painter-cartoonner to be woven.
