Elie Grekoff, close to Lurçat’s aesthetic, will produce more than 300 cartoons. The theme of leafy suns is a classic of the artist; perhaps the title alludes to a loom of the Angers Tapestry Workshop, opened that same year 1968, and where Grekoff was the first painter-cartoonnier to be woven.
