Elie Grekoff, whose aesthetic is similar to that of Lurçat, designed over 300 cartons : here we find evidence of the artist’s evolution from the 1960’s onwards, as the human or animal figures disappear from his work. The recurrent theme is one where a heavenly body (the sun, the moon) appears half-hidden behind foliage.
