Like other sculptors (Gilioli, Adam, Ubac…), Hairabédian devoted himself to tapestry (his workshop was located in Creuse from 1975 to 1985). For lack of volume, his spectacular composition plays on the weavings, the hollowing out of space with the virgin warp…, processes of the « New Tapestry », with the exception of three-dimensionality.
