Versatile artist (poet, lyricist, painter, and even antique dealer, ....) Saint-Martin, Lurçat's assistant in the early 1950s, designs his own cartoons from 1956, woven by the Braquenié house, in a oneiric universe, both stylized and theatricalized: here, order and rigor (still life, wrought iron balustrade ...) contrast with the disorderly, disturbing profusion of branches on the side.
