It may have been her close relationship with Pierre Vago, the architect to whom she was married, that led Nicole Cormier to take an interest in mural art (see "Soleil levant" at the University of Villeneuve d'Ascq); in the 1970s she produced some tapestries made from felt and sewn cotton pieces, and had some cartoons woven, notably by Pierre Daquin.
