Protagonist of geometric abstraction and, as such, defended by the Denise René gallery, a major promoter of abstract tapestry ("Distances" was woven in 1973, one of the last cartoons to be woven at Tabard for the gallery), Morisson is distinguished by his compositions in chromatically harmonized bands in gradations.
It is this aesthetic that prevails in our tapestry; if the A3 workshop has rather distinguished itself in the weaving of lyrical abstracts (Alechinsky, Arthus-Bertrand, Miotte...), more conducive to technical sidesteps, the spectrum of its achievements is in reality very broad: Cathelin, Malel, Lindström, Druillet.... even geometric, Mortensen.
