Here, in this seemingly unique cartoon, we find the sureness of line and purity of drawing of Trémois (best known as an engraver and illustrator, although Grand Prix de Rome de Peinture), and his taste for the treatment of the human body: loving embraces and meditations on modern science are associated in an unusual shortcut characteristic of the artist.
