Connu pour sa peinture géométrique faites parfois d’éléments machinistes, Gachon, a dessiné quelques cartoons de tapisserie, et ce, dès son plus jeune âge, puisque dès la fin des années 60, il était en relation avec l’atelier Tabard.
Our cartoon demonstrates the influence of lyrical abstraction on the young artist, an orientation that is ultimately relatively underrepresented in tapestry.
