Slow approach
Aubusson tapestry woven by the Braquenié workshop.
With its ribbon.
Circa 1960.
From a long artistic career, begun in the 50s (and which would later turn, especially towards sculpture), it is necessary to remember Julien, from 1959, about twenty cartoons, essentially woven by the Braquenié manufacture, notably 'the foreign trade', a spectacular public commission of 12 m². His style is often made of drawn female figures (drawn in black), sober in colors and motifs, of which our cartoon is exemplary.
