Aubusson tapestry woven by the Braquenié workshop.

Circa 1960.
From a long artistic career that began in the 1950s (and which would later focus mainly on sculpture), Julien's notable achievements from 1959 onwards include around twenty cartoons, primarily woven by the Braquenié factory, notably "Foreign Trade," a spectacular 12 m² public commission. His style often features drawn female figures (outlined in black), with restrained colors and motifs, of which our cartoon is an example.
