Red Sun

With its label label signed by the artist, no. 1/6.
1989.
It was in 1953 that Jean Picart le Doux offered Chaye the opportunity to become his assistant and encouraged him to create tapestry cartoons: he then produced numerous bucolic cartoons, as well as views of Normandy (Mont Saint Michel, Honfleur, regattas,…), from where he originated.
Cartoon that combines two leitmotifs by Simon Chaye, the bouquet, and the flock of birds, here set against a background of a red sun.
