Modern Paris
Tapestry woven by the Colombes workshop for ART (Atelier de Rénovation de la Tapisserie).
1945.
Little is known about the artist, but she produced several cartoons, which were woven by the ART workshops of Antoine Behna.
The panoramic topographical view was one of the specialities of the workshop, “Modern Paris” echoing Bobot’s “Old Paris 1650”.
A copy of each of these tapestries was also offered to President Truman.
