Painter-cartoonist, master-lissier, director of the Hamot manufactory in Aubusson, having notably woven for Sheila Hicks: the variety of Hecquet's talents is undeniable.
His work as a painter-cartoonist, which began in the late 1960s, nevertheless remains little known, as do those of many of his peers of the same generation.
