Self-taught abstract artist, Caroline Lonchambon stayed on the margins of the official or commercial channels that brought her work into the spotlight. Her woven work, often made of circles (and influenced by Kupka), wavers between the translation of the infinitely vast ("Parcelles de Cosmos") and the microscopic gaze ("Atomes messagers de joie"), although in our "Soleil levant", it becomes more figurative. It was, in general, woven by the Saint-Cyr workshop of Pierre Daquin.
