Composition with Blue Circles
Tapestry woven by the Saint-Cyr workshop.
N°II/VI.
c. 1970.
A self-taught abstract artist, Caroline Lonchambon remained on the margins of the official or commercial channels of media coverage surrounding her creations. Her woven work, often made up of circles (and influenced by Kupka), hesitated between the translation of the infinitely vast ("Parcelles de Cosmos") and the microscopic gaze ("Atomes messagers de joie"). In general, it was woven by the Saint-Cyr workshop of Pierre Daquin.
