Best known for his compositions linked to the theme of the circus (his preferred subject, across all techniques: a sculpted acrobat figure decorates the public space in Aubusson), Cinquin, an Aubusson adoptive, and professor until his school’s closure at the National School of Art décoratif in Aubusson, was (he died in 2019) one of the last milestones to have been alongside the protagonists of the Renaissance of Tapestry.
