Composition with Blue Circles
Tapestry woven by the Saint-Cyr workshop.
N°II/VI.
Circa 1970.
Self-taught abstract artist, Caroline Lonchambon remained on the margins of the official or commercial channels that would mediatize her achievements. Her woven body of work, often composed of circles (and influenced by Kupka), hesitated between translating the infinitely vast ("Parcelles de Cosmos") and the microscopic gaze ("Atomes messagers de joie"). In general, it was woven by the Saint-Cyr workshop of Pierre Daquin.
