Elie Grekoff produced more than 300 Cartoons: his aesthetic and his subjects (except for his attention to the human figure) were close to Lurçat; his palette was very personal—here, for instance, a slate-blue ground (a rarity) against which owls in a strongly contrasting red stand out.
