Paris modern

Tapestry Woven for ART (Tapestry Renovation Workshop) / AMI.
1945.

Little is known about the artist, but she created several Cartoons, which were Woven by the ART workshops of Antoine Behna.
The panoramic topographical view was one of the workshop’s specialities; “Paris Moderne” echoed Bobot’s “Vieux Paris 1650”.
An exemplar of each of these tapestries was, in fact, presented to President Truman.
