Wild garden
A tapestry woven at Aubusson by the Andraud workshop. With its bolduc, No. 6/8. 1970.
A pupil of Léon Detroy, Gaston Thiéry was one of the last representatives of the Crozant school of painting. He therefore worked in the Creuse region and took up tapestry in 1965 with the Andraud workshop, entrusting it with Cartoons inspired by the local flora, in a decorative vein halfway between the work of Dom Robert and that of Maingonnat—far removed from his landscape paintings influenced by Impressionism.
