Like other sculptors (Gilioli, Adam, Ubac…), Hairabédian turned to tapestry (his workshop was located in Creuse from 1975 to 1985). Failing volume, his spectacular composition plays on the weaves, the excavation of space with the unoccupied warp…, techniques of the “Nouvelle Tapisserie,” with the exception of three-dimensionality.
