A versatile artist, Bourlier first turned his hand to tapestry in the 1970s, taking part in various events (including the Menton Biennale): his subjects – Machinist-Constructivist works (‘the machine man’) and abstract pieces (‘construction’) – hark back to the heyday of the Bauhaus.
