Versatile artist (poet, lyricist, painter, and even antique dealer,…). Saint-Martin, assistant to Lurçat in the early 1950s, drew his own cartoons starting in 1956, woven by the Braquenié house, in a dreamlike universe that was both stylized and theatrical: here, order and rigor (the still life, the ironwork balustrade …) contrasts with the disordered, unsettling profusion of side branches.
