Michel Degand, a protean artist (painter, sculptor, illustrator,…), over more than 50 years of creation, designed about a hundred tapestry Cartoons, drawing on constantly renewed inspiration—sometimes dreamlike or “cosmic” (in the spirit of Wogensky), sometimes “technological” (à la Millecamps)—often lyrical, with a marked interest in the material, and most of them were woven by Pinton in Felletin.

In this respect, our Cartoon is a synthesis of these different modes of expression; we can also add work on geometry, the material and its chromatic effects, the hollows and the reliefs, the void in relation to the magnitude of the format….
