Perhaps it was her proximity to Pierre Vago, the architect of whom she was the wife, which led Nicole Cormier to take an interest in mural art (cf. « Soleil levant » at the University of Villeneuve d’Ascq); in the 1970s, she produced a few hangings based on felt, and sewn cotton pieces, and had a few Cartoons woven at Pierre Daquin, in particular.
