Tropics
Aubusson tapestry woven by the Atelier Pinton.
Circa 1955.
Back in France in the 1950s, after a long stay in Argentina, Berroeta then produced many Cartoons in a style that was first figurative (animals, figures, …), then turned to abstraction, as in his painting.
The influence of Cubism and the lyricism of its colors coexist here in a Cartoon that may perhaps be a reminiscence of South America.
